Robert Babiuk graduated from the Prairie West Regional College in Kindersley, SK in 1993 in the first class offered in pre-employment machinist. He apprenticed at Beline Manufacturing in Kindersley, PRECISION Metal Fabricating (Rake-UP) in Rosetown and Saskatoon, and Standard Machine in Saskatoon. He completed his apprenticeship in 1999 and achieved his Inter-Provincial Journeyman Machinist and took a contract position at WRT Equipment in Saskatoon before moving to Bassano, AB to work at Skill Metal Fabricators. In 2004 Rob transferred to Global Thermoelectric until he started ROCKHARD MACHINING LTD where he manufactured parts for the oil and gas, aerospace, medical, veterinary, transport, agriculture, food, and heavy equipment sectors. In September 2022 Rob passed away. Despite the shops lose, everyone has committed themselves to carrying on his Legacy.
